Terms of Service
Effective date: 26 June 2026 · Loggy Co (ABN 48 698 930 406 registered with ASIC)
These terms govern your use of Loggy, a physical NFC-based logging product and associated web service operated by Loggy Co. By using Loggy you agree to these terms.
About Loggy
Loggy is a physical product with an associated web service. When a Loggy disc is tapped with a phone, a unique URL linked to that Loggy is accessed, and if the 'Log' button is pressed then a timestamp is recorded to a unique URL. The service is designed to help you log activities of your choosing — Loggy is not responsible for what you choose to log.
Using Loggy
You may use Loggy for any lawful personal or household purpose. You agree not to:
- Use Loggy to track, surveil, or monitor another person without their knowledge or consent
- Use Loggy for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, or compromise the service or its infrastructure
- Resell or commercially redistribute Loggy products without our written consent
Your URL
Each Loggy is associated with a unique, randomly generated 15-character URL. This URL is your access mechanism. You are responsible for keeping it private if you do not wish others to view your log. Anyone with the URL can view the log history associated with it.
Loggy Co does not guarantee the permanent availability of any URL or associated log data. We reserve the right to retire URLs that are inactive for extended periods, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
PIN protection
You may choose to protect your Loggy with a 4-digit PIN. By enabling PIN protection, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Loggy Co does not store your PIN and cannot recover or reset it on your behalf.
- A 3-word recovery phrase is generated when you set your PIN. You are responsible for keeping this phrase in a safe place. Loss of both your PIN and your recovery phrase will result in permanent loss of access to your Loggy.
- Changing your PIN revokes access for all previously unlocked devices. You are responsible for communicating any PIN change to household members or others who require access.
- Device access tokens stored in browser sessions may be cleared if browser cache is cleared, requiring re-entry of the PIN on that device.
Loggy Co expressly disclaims all liability for loss of access resulting from a forgotten PIN or lost recovery phrase.
Encrypted notes
Notes added to log entries are encrypted at the application level before storage. You acknowledge and agree that:
- Loggy Co cannot read, recover, or reconstruct the content of encrypted notes.
- In the event of encryption key rotation or change, previously written notes may become unreadable. We will provide reasonable advance notice before any such change.
- You are solely responsible for retaining any information of critical importance outside of Loggy note fields.
Tags
Tags are optional short labels attached to log entries. Tags are stored in encrypted form and are visible to anyone with access to your Loggy URL, but are not readable at the database level. If your Loggy is PIN protected, tag content is only accessible to those who know your pin.
Important notice — Medical and health use
Please read carefully
Loggy is a logging tool only. It is not a medical device, a clinical system, or a substitute for professional medical advice, supervision, or care.
If you use Loggy to record medication administration, health routines, or any other health-related activity, you do so entirely at your own discretion. Because logs are only generated by your actions, Loggy Co makes no representation that logs recorded through the service are accurate, complete, or reliable for any medical or clinical purpose.
You remain solely responsible for all medication and healthcare decisions for yourself and any person in your care. Always follow the advice of a qualified healthcare professional. In the event of a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
Loggy Co expressly disclaims all liability for any harm, injury, adverse outcome, or loss arising from reliance on the user-generated logs stored in Loggy for any medical or health-related purpose.
Intellectual property
Loggy, including its name, characters, disc designs, and web service, is the intellectual property of Loggy Co. All rights are reserved. Nothing in these terms grants you any licence to use our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the product as intended.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Loggy Co is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of Loggy or any interruption, error, or discontinuation of the service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Loggy is limited to the amount you paid for the physical product.
Service availability
We aim to keep the Loggy web service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or discontinue the service at any time. In the event of permanent discontinuation, we will provide reasonable notice and give users the opportunity to retrieve their log data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the ACT.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by updating the effective date above. Continued use of Loggy after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
